Who is this site for? This site is for all those involved in the International Baccalaureate Computer Science Programme. For those who are not familiar with this programme, it is approximately equivalent to a first-year degree (bachelor's) course in the UK or US.The site also provides a range of interactive features so that you can store data here, contribute resources and chat on the forums. Each of these sites requires a separate login, sorry, when time and programming skill permits, I will address this issue. Who made this?My name is Richard Jones, In recent times I have been a teacher, lecturer and Project Manager. Currently I am working on a couple of eLearning Projects in New Zealand including a pilot program to teach Computer Science online. I have been a Deputy Chief Examiner for IB Computer Science and am currently principal moderator for Computer Science Dossiers. For more Personal and Professional Details please click the link. You can contact me via: richard@ib-computing.com. This site has been created for the benefit of all teachers and students on the International Baccalaureate IB Computer Science course; it may also be of interest to those wishing to study Computer Science at an introductory level. The site is not in any way associated with or sponsored by the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
Browser compatibility: Funding and resource availability Some of your current links may break as this is a major upgrade designed to improve accessibility and add new features - sorry about that. The site is partly financed by advertising revenue, partly by online teaching activities and partly by donations. If you or your organisation feel these resouces have been useful to you, you can always leave a tip :) Richard Jones |
This is the "old" ib-computing site - eventually it will be merged with the new. Returning visitors , please see What's New for latest additions to the site. IBID Press : for all the IB textbooks you will need. Index to resources on the site (including handouts & worksheets) Books you might have a use for: Ajax & PHP - building interactive websites. PHP Eclipse - might be useful if you're using Eclipse for Java |
